West Ham QPR

In one of the less glamorous Monday night matches of the season, we have a London derby as QPR host West Ham. This game is already a crucial one in the home sides season, as they have struggled to get themselves going and it is a matter of time before the media begin to make life even more difficult for Mark Hughes.

The best odds for QPR can be found with Paddy Power who offer 23/20. Pinnacle offer the best odds for both the draw and a West Ham victory, offered at 88/35 and 17/6 respectively.

Following a home defeat on Wednesday to Reading in the League Cup, a victory will be demanded of QPR by the Loftus Road faithful, who are yet to see their side take maximum points in the league at home this season. QPR have the quality within their side to pull off a home win here, but it’s whether or not they have finally gelled which will dictate the outcome of this game. They have goals in Djibril Cisse, especially against a deep lying backline such as West Ham have, and I think he is good odds to score anytime at 2/1 with Stan James.

I think QPR will feel the pressure and use it in their favour by striking first but I don’t think they’ll go unanswered, if there’s anything West Ham showed last year it is that they know how to deal with going behind, and I think an anytime correct score bet of 1-1 at 6/4 with Ladbrokes is a very good bet.

This game will be a close affair, and close affairs very easily become heated. With players involved in this game with a history of sendings off such as Nolan and Cisse, I think the odds offered by Betfair on a red card being shown at 19/5 are too good to turn down.

Djibril Cisse to score anytime @ 2/1 with Stan James

Anytime score of 1-1 @ 6/4 with Ladbrokes

Red card to be shown @ 19/5 with Betfair
